Curriculum Pillar

Pillar President: Sabine Lettman

·      Summit committee

·      Publication committee

Certify the existence of an unbiased and decolonized curriculum accessible to all students and staff. We believe in enhancing the learning experience for everyone, irrespective of their race, colour, or ethnicity, by embracing diverse perspectives and narratives.

The Curriculum Pillar, through its Summit and Publication Committees, will spearhead the formulation and co-creation of a contemporary, progressive and embedded decolonised curriculum model. Harnessing knowledge, expertise, and best practice, we will design a transformative code of practice, disseminating insights via the annual FACE Summit and its associated publications.

Alongside, we will develop a programme of FACE accredited training, empowering academic and technical staff to enact comprehensive curriculum reform to include the design of modules and specific learning outcomes to measure student success in this field.

Furthermore, we shall serve as catalysts for change, offering steadfast support and guidance to FACE Members and Associates in effecting real transformation within their respective institutions. It is imperative that the burden of this vital work not rest solely on our Members or BIPOC colleagues; we are committed to ensuring equitable participation and shared responsibility as we advance towards a more inclusive educational landscape.
